导读：美国东部时间凌晨2点30分左右，2016美国总统大选最终结果出炉。共和党人唐纳德·特朗普获得超过270票选举人票，成功逆转选前的不利局面，击败民主党候选人希拉里·克林顿，赢得总统大选。对此，北美高等教育基础课程指导中心(UFEIC)也在第一时间发表了声明。

尊敬的各位朋友，
The results of the Presidential election may have come as a surprise to some of you and left you with many questions, given the President-elect's campaign statements on international engagement. We have great confidence in the democratic process that will shape and deliver any policy changes that may come with a new presidency. You can trust that UFEIC and the work that we do has many supporters – from both the Democratic and Republican parties – and stakeholders in communities across the country. UFEIC and our partners will be at the table ensuring our voices are heard and that the important work of international exchange continues its long and strong legacy.
